About the Japan Hair Color Industry Association (JHCIA)

The purpose of the JHCIA is to promote the sound development of the hair color industry, maintain close ties among its members, and contribute to the improvement of Japan’s culture, thereby ensuring the prosperity of all member companies.

Overview of activities

The JHCIA’s activities are wide-ranging and include creating and revising various industry standards of its own related to hair color, collecting and analyzing information on safety and regulations, conducting surveys and providing educational information to general consumers and hairstylists, creating and revising application procedures for manufacturing and marketing approval for hair dyes, and more.
